The Company Behind the ProductVarmOS is a product of Elevarm.
Elevarm is an Indonesian agricultural technology company. VarmOS is the estate management platform we build and develop for enterprise-scale plantations and horticulture.
Why an agriculture company built an operating system for estates.
Elevarm works directly with farmers and estate managers. Out of that work, one pattern surfaced again and again: the biggest problem on an estate is rarely a shortage of agronomic knowledge. The technical recommendation is usually right. What is missing is the path that gets that recommendation actually executed, recorded, and measured.
Harvest data sits in one system, cost data in another, and imagery analysis arrives as a monthly PDF. When an agronomist spots declining vigour in a block, that information must pass through meetings, memos, and a rewritten work plan before it becomes action in the field. The journey takes two to three weeks — and on short-cycle crops, that means a whole season lost.
VarmOS was built to cut that distance. Every signal — from foreman attendance to satellite vegetation indices — maps to the same object, the block, on the same timeline. From there any finding can become an accountable work order with a clear target, owner, and deadline.
What changes is not merely reporting speed, but an estate organisation's ability to learn from its own estate: every action executed is recorded, and its response is measured back against the same block, the following season.
Four design decisions we do not negotiate.
Field first, office second
If the foreman will not use it, the whole system is worthless. Every feature is tested in real conditions: no signal, sun on the screen, dirty hands. The management dashboard is a by-product of correct field data — not the other way round.
One object of truth: the block
Every module attaches to the same unit. Without that, adding a module means adding integration work, and figures in two reports will never agree.
AI that ends in action
A model is only useful if its output ends as a traceable work order. Every model has an owner, a confidence threshold, and an escalation path to an agronomist — not just a coloured map.
Estate data stays the estate's
Your data is not used to train anyone else's models without consent, and can be exported at any time in open formats. Data residency follows your company's policy.
One team, from seed to software.
Because Elevarm also works on the agronomy and supply chain side, VarmOS is not designed by a team that only understands software. The person writing the fertiliser module is someone who has stood in the block being discussed.
Agronomy
Agronomists who support implementation and calibrate the models.
Engineering
The product and data team building the platform and its intelligence layer.
Field Operations
Hands-on support at the estate until foreman adoption is genuinely stable.
Partnerships
Working with plantation groups, horticulture growers, and technology partners.
